Janus is the ancient Roman god of doorways, transitions, endings, and duality. Often depicted with two mythical faces, they are said to appear in moments of great change to preside over the struggle between war and peace.

JanusWords is a quarterly literary magazine featuring the poetry of queer, trans, nonbinary and gender nonconforming writers, uplifting the voices of a historically unrepresented group. All who find themselves reflected in the LGBTQIA+ community are encouraged to submit two poems in any style, length or format.

Send your two best pieces (500 word max) for publication consideration to JanusWords quarterly literary magazine. Please include a brief bio in your submission. Selected writers will receive two copies of the magazine as payment.
